A Natural Woman
Charli comes from a long line of singers, she is in the fourth generation of singers in her family. Charli has been singing since she could talk. Her first public appearance came at the age of five with her father James H Ericson, who in his own right had "the voice of an angel". It was quite obvious where her talent came from... "it was in her Daddy's Genes..." which was a standard answer from the precocious child. Charli's musical roots are in Country Gospel. She spent most of her childhood & teenage years singing, playing and harmonizing in her Family's Christian Band. The Ericson Family was well known in the Tristate area of PA, MD, WV & VA. and consisted of her Father James, Charli, James Jr., Cheryl, Dave & Joe Ericson. Charli's Mother Judy was for all purposes their Agent and the Glue that kept everything running smoothly.
Charli has since moved on to country & soft rock and in the last year has been testing the waters with blues & jazz. But once in awhile she will throw in an old gospel song for good measure. She also knows a lot of old 50's rock & roll.
Some of Charli's musical influences (other than her father) are Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, Carole King, Linda Rondstadt, The Eagles, Carly Simon, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, ETC.
To quote Charli, "I have enjoyed my time at Jerami's immensely! Hosting the Jams, singing Karaoke, guesting with the bands, etc. You can't find a better crowd to hang with. I love to sing, singing frees my soul. And by the way... THE FOOD AT JERAMI'S ROCKS!!!"
